This car came out from the factory line in Arese near Milano on April 30th1962 and was registered in Finland on June 14th 1962. It has had a thorough restoration during 1985-88 concerning the chassis and technique. Its previous finnish owner registered it to the Finnish Historical Car Registry (Museoautorekisteri) in 1990. Esko have had the car since 2004. After which the main restauration has been a respray of the chassis.Due unsuitable primary paint used in the previous painting. All paints were removed and the car was resprayed in Sweden in 2011. At the same time some chrome parts and the interior roof was renewed.
About the 2600 Sprint
Design is from Bertone. During 1962-66 were 6999 Sprints produced. Its all aluminium engine has 2582 cm3 in 6 cylinders in line with 2 over head camshafts. Three twin barrel carburators. 145 hp (DIN) 5900 rpm (165 hpv SAE). 5+1 gears, disc brakes in front and drums with three cylinders in the back. Length/wide/high 4580/1706/1330 mm. Weight 1280 kg. Top speed over 200 km/h, acceleration from 0-1 km in 30,8 seconds. |
