The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has won a "What Car?" magazine award, in the "Performance Car of the Year" category of their "Car of the Year 2020". The legendary "Quadrifoglio" has proven its prestige once more, with the Giulia fighting off tough competition across all price points, coming in at the top of its category.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio won over the "What Car?" team of experts with its combination of class-leading driving dynamics and an extraordinary, powerful and versatile aluminum engine, which make it ideal for everyday driving.
Steve Huntingford, the Editor of "What Car?", praised the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio: "For the third year running, the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is "What Car?"'s "Performance Car of the Year", for very good reason. Much of its appeal lies in the 2.9-liter V6 Bi-Turbo engine, developed by technicians from Ferrari. However, despite an actual power output of 510 HP and rear-wheel drive, it is not a monster of a car. Traction is excellent, whatever the weather. The gears are always smooth, so long journeys pass by comfortably, making the Giulia a performance car you can use every day." The 510 HP and 600 Nm engine takes the car to a top speed of 307 km/h, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Arnaud Leclerc, CEO of FCA UK, stated: "Winning this award for the third year running vindicates the quality of the work that went into creating the Giulia Quadrifoglio, which, year after year, has been confirmed as a true supercar.zb | |
