| EUROPEAN ALFA CHALLENGE: LARGER PRIZES FOR THE 2004 SEASON AND THE 2005 SCHEDULE IS CONFIRMED
Due to the resounding success of the European Alfa Challenge – with 34 drivers and 15 teams representing 9 European countries: Belgium, Finland, Ireland, Holland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Spain and Italy – Alfa Romeo and N.Techology have decided to increase the prizes for the championship. At the end of the season, instead of two standard road-going Alfa 147, a pair of new Alfa 147 GTA Cup cars, worth € 43,000 plus VAT, will be the prizes for the overall winner and the winner of the Under 25 class.
Additionally, the schedule for the next season of the European Alfa Challenge has been confirmed, which will again be disputed across several nations with the Alfa 147 GTA Cup.
The European Alfa Challenge is now in its third season. Established in 2002 as two national series (Italy and Holland), this year it was accepted as one of the LG Super Racing Weekends. The Alfa Romeo 147 is powered by a 220 bhp, four cylinder, 2 litre engine mated to a 6 speed sequential gearbox, and has GTA look body styling.
